Help....Ok. I'm still on the fence about getting the racing style exhaust on my original exhaust 360 spider. Still wondering if its too loud. My original sounds ok as im driving but it seems to be mssing that deep cool sound. I think It needs a little more but not overpowering so that its too loud with the top down...Any advise other than drive one first.

Basic Tubi is pretty much the first step up.
Not too loud. There is a youtube clip of 3 cars. Std, Tubi and Capristo.
Search and listen. Tubi sounds best to me.

Racing exhaust sounds the best IMO and is the closest your going to get to sounding like the CS since they're the same box. Mine is being done this week and decatted and a software tune. Dealer is doing all the labor for free in return for being able to record the sound to let potential customers hear it. - score!

The stock factory racing exhaust is excellent - it's tame for around-the-town driving and screams when you're pushing it.

I modified my racing exhaust so that the valves are always open. Very loud - but as I only drive it recreationally once a week, it's great.

We have installed several factory kits, no one has come back saying it was/is too loud, rather they like the way it sounds!

FWIW , I have a Factory racing exhaust for the 360 Spider that I really need to sell.

IF someone is interested, PM me , we can discuss.

Would you pay $1200? Our parts manager is willing to deal, to get rid of the kits he has in stock...

tubi sounds like the best option for you.

i have a timate titanium racing exhuast and i've been told by numerous ferrari guys it's one of the loudest cars they've ever heard. it's ear busting when combined with straight pipes, but since i have a coupe I can at least close the windows for some relief when I need it.

If i had a spider I would not want it I would opt for a tubi. nice growl at idle and great scream at redline.

anyone know if the Spider racing exhaust will fit the Modena ?

I assume the answer no or they would not have made 2 exhausts.

Lets hope it does Mikeyr... ;-)

Do you have any indication why it should not fit the Modena? Different brackets maybe?

The muffler mounting brackets are different according to FNA when I purchased my spider exhaust kit. There are also differences in the ECU ignition flash provided by FNA when you send them out for re-programming. The spider opens the exhaust vacuum valve at 6000 RPM and the fuel curve and ignition timing are slightly different from the stock ECU which opens the valves at 4000 RPM. The exhaust is perfectly balanced at idle with the top down and cruising. Above 6000 or WOT it sounds like an F1 bat out of hell!

Just be sure to get the (2) ECU's and new 02 sensors which should be provided in factory kits. A lot of dealers will keep the ECU's and tell you they are not needed. May be true, but insist on a complete kit with a $75 charge for the flash and shipping.

For a Modena system try calling Ferrari Ft. Lauderdale, they had several coupes and spider kits, complete for $1500!

The OEM racing exhaust kits indicate 2004-2005 models. Will there be a problem using the exhaust ECU's on a 2002 or should they not be used at all?

    From FNA:
    Kit for USA version
The racing-type exhaust comes with specific injection-ignition Bosch Motronic ECUs, which were approved and certified for the USA and Canada on the MY 2004 and 2005, with the following part numbers:
    - MY 2004 206424 for Manual gearbox (M6) - 206425 for F1 gearbox (A6/S6)
    - MY 2005 214040 for Manual gearbox (M6) - 214041 for F1 gearbox (A6/S6)
It is not permitted to fit the above listed ECUs on MYs 1999 (Tier 1 certification) and 2000•2003 (LEV I certification).

If you buy a complete kit for your vehicle and provide your vin with alarm code to FNA via a dealership, FNA will re-flash the ECU's to your car regardless of year from 1999-2005. The european versions do not need ECU upgrades hence no flash required. My 360 spider is an 03 and FNA flashed it for $75.00. The info for the USA version has not been updated by FNA. Its a damn good exhaust for the money!

You would have to create mounting brackets +

    1. This
    2. Make sure , our kits are all inclusive, you can use all the parts / ecu's or use them as paperweights
    3. Mine are $1200 + shipping < wink > only have 3 left.

It's an 11. When you romp on it, your need for LOUD will be fulfilled. I had the factory racing exhaust/ecu setup on my '04 360...everyone who heard it felt it was far and away the best sounding exhaust for a 360. Mine also had the factory installed C.S. carbon fiber air boxes which added an additional note to the car's sound. I actually prefer the sound of that race exhaust equipped 360 over my current Scud.
