I'm not seeing any new Top Gear/5th Gear episodes on RacingFlix.com.....

Does anyone know what's going on? They still have the old ones online, but I haven't seen any new ones since they tested F430.

Maybe a threatened lawsuit. In fact, I'm surprised it took the BBC that long to notice their content being sold.

That, and also Jeremy said in the last episode (I believe it was dated 12/19 or 12/26, something like that), that their season is up and they will not be back on the air until spring.

BBC can avoid the hassle of having to suit people by just selling the rights to broadcast TG & 5th gear in the states. Im sure 90% of the demand is from people in the states. Why don't we have any shows nearly as close and well produced as TG & 5th gear? Motorweek, Car and Driver & Autoweek don't even come close.

5th Gear is on in the states. It's probably because it's on in the states now that someone sicced their lawyers on RacingFlix - if that is the real reason.

Both shows had their respective seasons end. They're both awaiting their new seasons.

Fifth Gear in the U.S. is repeat episodes, some of which are from a while back.

I'm well aware of that but i'm just saying that they shouldn't rip off a tv program and then expect to not get in trouble for making people pay for priority bandwidth

The American Fifth Gear episodes are very old. I'm yet to see one I haven't downloaded before. :s

Come to think of it, except one. It was a Ferrari one. They did a 612 Scaglietti.

Top Gear hasn't been on in the UK for a good month or two now, that's probably why.

As for 5th Gear, I don't know, I rarely watch it. I suspect the reason is the same.

As far as i am concerned if the owner of racingflix was threatened by legal actions, he deserves it. He realized a lot of people were downloading from him back when the site was free (which was probably against the law too) and got greedy.
Im not familiar with intellectual property law (maybe WHart can elaborate) but it seems to me that if you make people pay for access to copyrighted material (nevermind making a profit) then you are breaking the law.
