    Do these devices actually work ?

    Are radar detectors legal in CA ?

    Yes they work, if you know how to use them. And yes, radar detectors are legal.

    Laser jammers are as legal as exceeding the posted speed limit, but that isn't an issue if, again, you know how to use them.

    I believe you can have 3 laser diffusers but jammers I believe are illegal. I've got a radar detector and laser diffusers. Saved me countless times.

    Have always had good experiences with Haas Electronics in Culver City. Ask for Jeff Haas. They put a jammer and Escort 9500xi in my daily, a Jag F Type V-8. Clean install, nice guys. Hope they can help you.
