    Has anyone had experience with the K40 detectors and laser diffusers? Expensive but do they work? Negatives?

    The new Radenso DS1 was just released and set the new market standard. It has the longest range detection of KA band radar of anything else out there on the market.

    I upgraded from a Radenso Pro M to the new DS1 and the differences in range are already noticeable.

    Highly recommended.

    There’s a long fairly recent thread on this topic. Do a search for radar detectors. Lots of recommendations.

    If you look at The separate website Radar Detector Forum, the K40 has no fans. Old technology, and not up to todays standards.
    The Vortex Radar guy on YouTube provides lots of information and rates Radar and laser gear. Personally I’d start there for research before spending significant money for an installed system.
