Let's have Dino give him a call to find out who pays for favorable reviews.

V1...It has the longest range out of any detector I have ever used..The directional arrows help me out a lot...it lets me know if the threat has passed me or if it is really another threat up the road....I remote installed my V1, so anyone that says the SRX or K40 is the only way to go is mis-informed...here are the pics...rear sensor shoots out the back of the tinted plexiglass eye...front has a tinted plexiglass strip that it shoots out of and the remote display is located in the radio cover

Probably because the K40 is an overpriced POS that is worse than the big 3 in radar detection and can't jam a single laser gun in use in the world today.

I had the POS detector that came with the car removed, because radar detectors are illegal in VA ... and moving faster than the bicycles is durn near impossible anyway.

But I have a windows-based police monitoring system.

How it works is: you look through them. ;)

I'm just wondering where you get your information from.

There really is a point of negative return when you factor in the cost of some Radar/Laser/Jammer systems versus the effective cost of speeding ticket plus increased insurance premiums. I really can't justify a system that costs over $1,000 (and much more in some cases) to avoid a speeding ticket. I'm pretty sure that in the real world a $400 V1 or Escort 8500 will work every bit as well as any of the techie installed systems like the K40 and the super pricey escort pro system. Some cheaper detectors just don't do the job, but the V1's and Escort 8500 or Solo certainly will pick almost every radar or laser gun equally well in real world conditions to allow you to slow down enough.

You should read that again. It says it was the oldest defuser. I can tell by looking at the picture that it isn't even the current model.

Once you have used a built-in unit like the Escort SRX or Bel, you won't want to use a suction cup unit every again.....
