Just finished doing my seats with leatherique this evening, and deciced to do a quick bleed of the cooling system as the car has been running a bit hot recently. I was just about finished and went to tighten up the bleed screw when its head broke off, and it emptied the radiator all over the garage floor. (Guess i won't be taking it for a run this weekend.)

I'll order a new bleed screw tomorrow, but does anyone have a good idea for how to get the remaining hollow tip of the bleed screw out of the radiator?

There's a square Extractor made to drive into a drilled hole, in this case the hole is there!

Sorry to hear about your troubles, it's never good to crank it real tight....

That happened to me once in a parking lot after lunch one weekend about 13 years ago. Towed it home and made a new one. Drilled the same holes in it too.

It's still in there. One more year and it will have lasted as long as the factory one.

Happened to me too, used an EZ OUT kit to remove the screw body (seems yours already may be out) and then replaced it with a screw from a local hardware store.

All you had to do was put some gum on it:D.

Haven't you ever seen "The Rocketeer?"

Time to clean up...just keep the coolant off the paint.

    Good luck.
