The radio in my 550 went dead. It does not seem to get any power. The unit is the standard issue "Ferrari" model (actually Sony, I suspect), with an internal cassette player and a CD changer in the trunk. I could not find a separate fuse for the radio, but I found here in FerrariChat that it shares a fuse with the A/C compressor. The A/C compressor works fine, so it cannot be the fuse. Is there another (perhaps inline) fuse? If not, I suppose I will have to pull the radio unit and send it in for repair.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I had the same radio as yours, and when I replaced it I found an in-line fuse on the adapter cable between the radio and the car's wiring loom.
Slide the radio out using the extraction tools provided and check if you also have a fuse in there.

Thanks, Stefano. I will try to find the inline fuse you mention.

I defer to those who really know this vehicle but I seem to remember one member trying to remove the radio with the proper disconnect tools and it still wouldn't budge. apparently there was a nut on the back of the receiver securing it to a bracket for further grounding or stabilization purposes. If for some reason the radio doesn't slide out using the procedure noted in the prior reply, do a search on dashboard or radio removal and you should find an image of the receiver with some small bracket attached to the back. I believe the post I remember was in response to the dashboard removal instructions.

I know this to be the case with the carbon console. You must lift the whole console out with radio attached.
