Investigating the problem of my radio door not staying open, and upon inspection the plastic inner door has had the plastic tab/cam in the middle break off so the door does not engage the little plastic spring part. I need to figure out the difference between the euro door and the US door, as the euro part is available, the Us part does not seem to be. Anyone encounter this issue? Any fixes? You can see the tab on the center rear side of the part, it's on the hinge edge.

Its not that I need a radio, I just hate having something broken...

The US door is heavier than the Euro door, and the angled slope is different -- but it'll work perfectly in a USA car. I know, because I installed a Euro version in my 1990 348ts.

p.s. My Euro door didn't have the 348ts emblem on it --- which was fine with me. I didn't actually use the radio either, but in the era before huge cell phones (iPhone whatever...) I was able to easily put my cell in that cavity and close the door, thus providing another little glovebox type location.

Thanks Daniel, so would I need 6 and 45? or can I run my stock door lid (42) with emblem and use the euro back of door piece (45)?

Mine included 6 and 45 together (I bought it used, on crapBay). It was very springy/snappy. I'll try to find some pictures...

Thanks, that makes sense...Now looking at my car It looks like I need to pull the center stack out of the car to get access to the door hinge pin to separate the two parts, is that what you did?

I'm pretty sure I did pull the central tunnel apart -- but I was already going into that area to remove a prior stereo system, repair my HVAC control unit, and send my panels to www.stickynomore.com for refinishing. My aching back has never forgiven me for crawling upside down into the passenger footwell.
