    Radio Question-

    I am still new to the Ferrari world, so I am not sure if the little radio door is unique to the Testarossa. Anyway. The Alpine stereo in my car has a screen that works only when it is in the mood. Today for an hour, not at all. Some days, no worries. I would like to upgrade this, maybe to a flip screen as the spot will only hold a 1 DIN headunit. I learned that today; although I have no idea what a DIN is. What I would really like is a state of the art flip screen with Navigation and all the other hook-ups. Unfortunately, the flip up screen will not work- as it would hit the open door. Has anyone come up with a work around or better yet a flip screen that opens DOWN instead of UP.

    DIN 2" x 7" opening - standard single height radio opening.

    There's also Double DIN, or some such crap. That's those GIANT TALL radios that GM seems to love.

    So it's probably really a DIN something mount, or bracket, not just a DIN.

    the 348 also has the door. i think you can remove the door. i remember seeing a nav system placed in the radio spot with the door removed. i really can't remember the thread, though.

    I have put radios in quite a few Ferraris, but never a Testarossa. Most of the flip outs have the ability to leave the screen a little ways away from the face for just this reason. The only car that I have done that was really close to not clearing the flip up radio cover was an Audi TT, but it did clear it. If you could post some pics and maybe some measurements I could help you figure out what you can fit.
