How can I remove the radio in my 360 to get the model number and serial number?
Using the little tools (for example Item number: 370479822390) that came with the car and the instructions in the back of the radio manual - there's pictures of it all somewhere here
If its a stock radio.. just put the two remvoal keys into the slots in the lower edges of the radio. the curved part of the blade fits to the inside. try http://www.beckerautosound.com/Porsche/99_01_carrera_cr220_cassette_4362.html same radio as the porsche.. if the nav option.. try gogole for manual.. it's out there in PDF.. serial is on the side of the radio..
I have a friend that owns a Car Stereo shop. He pulled the radio for me for nothing. It takes less than a minute for a shop to do it. I am assumimg you need to code for your radio? Just go by a shop and say you are looking to possibly upgrade your radio, but need the code to sell the original. Either way I am sure most shops would help you out. When you have your closest dealer call Becker Radio, it will take about 24 hours to get the code from them.
it takes about 5 sec to pull the radio with the pins hooks.. after you get the ser. number to a search for becker radio codes. there are alot of sites that will sell you the code. I bought mine for $9.00.
Becker Auto Sound will get you the code if you don't have it. I don't have their phone number but go to www.beckerautosound.com to get it. They charge $20.
I called Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo and they called Becker once I got the code, they didn't charge me a thing. You can just call the closest dealer or make the guy you bought it from get it for you, it would only be fair.
I went to Al and Eds sound and they gladly removed the radio. I went to this website: http://www.online-unlock.com/catalog/becker_car_radio/becker_car_radio_via_sn.html and entered the information and for a charge of $3.00 they gave me the proper code within 20 minutes.
