At a charity auction before the Monaco GP, he paid $200,000 Euros for a 1974 Corvette with 4 miles on the odometer. The car had been donated by movie actress Sharon Shesohot Stone.

Auction was to raise money for Elton John's AIDS foundation. Even with only 4 miles, for this money I would want at least one night with Ms Stone in addition to the 1974 Corvette.

Maybe I'm a bit too young to fully appreciate a woman like Ms Stone, but doesn't she have considerably more than 4 miles on the odometer, so to say?

and Kimi did something positive this weekend, not his driving, helping others; but Sharon Stone probably has more miles on her than the space shuttle.

I was hoping to read about a new ZO6 or a nice 60's Vette. A '74 is worth nothing....

I once bought a '74 Corvette, new. What a p.o.s. It was such a bad experience I swore never to own another GM car. As for Sharon Stone--she's getting a little long in the tooth, but so am I.

I'm sure no one here would turn down the vette
or Sharon Stone due to lack of or too many miles.

I couldn't agree more. Sharon is in my opinion about an F-40 (as women would equate to Ferrari's) and I don't know anyone who would turn down the chance to take a spin in an F-40 no matter what the mileage. Early 90's both were smoking and today they could still give you a heck of a thrill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suffice to say that Kimi's young hot wife has far less miles, and probably far more class than Stone. (Not to say I wouldn't take Ms. Stone for a spin, too).

I had an '87 IROC. What a great car it was. 146K, only thing I had to do was a water pump and the normal stuff. My Infiniti has been in for service more then that car ever was....guess you got a bad one?

She was in town here last week promoting the new Lexus IS-F. She absolutely oozes class.

Every vette i've driven has been a rattle box same with camaro.

If it was a mid sixties Stingray or somethin' that'd be kinda cool but a '74? Wha?

I've got an '86 300zx turbo that's all original and pulls strong shifts great etc. Solid steering and brakes... everything. 143k miles.

If it's for a good cause then so be it.

Is this just more proof that Kimi isn't really a car guy?

Or maybe he made this purchase after a particularly rough evening on his yacht

Agreed. He probably jump started some bidding. Nice to see a guy step up for something he doesn't need or probably want. My vote is that his checkbook and actions were in the right place on this one.

I always find it odd when people go to a charitable auction and ***** because it's not a good "deal".

I understand the comments about the '74 Corvette. They were not even attractive. I have to believe Kimi's purchase had more to do with the charity than with the car.

But unless you are under 30 years old, I can not understand any of the comments about Sharon Stone. She is beautiful. I would take her, even Madonna, any day of the week. Class, and experience. Either one of these ladies could teach us more in one night than we have learned since reaching puberty.

I am all for higher education.

Kimi should have spent the $375,000 someone else spent on the boat ride, instead. He would have felt more at home there than in the plastic fantastic...

If the car only has 4 miles on it, it has probably been left alone rotting for the last 34 years. I'm not sure if I'd even want it, I would think a lot of work would be needed.

Kimi probably just did it for the charity though, nice guy.

She turned 50 this past March. And that's assuming that's her true age. I've seen 30 year old women with worse thighs than in the photo you posted. If in a perfect universe I was given the chance, in half a heartbeat or less, I would be all over this lady.

I suspect she's a wee bit north of 50, but like I said, I'd have to, just because.

That said, you missed the opportunity to meet my wife last year. I'm a lucky man now, no doubt luckier when she's Stone's age.
