http://www.as.com/articulo/motor/Schumacher/seguira/Kimi/ira/Renault/dasmot/20060509dasdaimot_2/Tes/ - Schumacher will renew 2 years with Ferrari (option to leave the Scuderia whenever he wants). - Kimi´s representatives already talking with Flavio in Nurburgring. He will sign with Renault as a bridge to Ferrari once the Kaiser leaves the team. - That would mean for Renault to have 2 finnish drivers: Raikkonen & Kovalainen - Montoya then will have possibilities to be in 2007 sharing team with Alonso. He has offers from Red Bull and also BMW. - Fisico is nervous, he offered himself to renew contract after win in Malaisia. - Rossi to stay in MotoGP. Last test in Valencia showed him that he has not enough level to be on top.
That is very interesting. Fisico should be nervous then because Kovalainen will be driving for Renault next year. I wonder if Massa will stay at Ferrari if Kimi does go to Renault. It will all make for some interesting news in the coming months.
So BMW is calling Montoya again... Isn't that like getting back with an ex-girlfriend even though it didn't work out the first time?
Last week we had a credible report that Kimi already signed with Ferrari. Now this. All of these reports still need to be verified. I don't expect we will see that until mid summer.
I think it makes sense. Flavio has been overly praising Kimi this weekend, saying he's the only one they fear in the championship. Words from Flavio to Kimi reps, David Roberston and his son Steve.... "AS witnessed the conversation between both at the Nurbrungring circuit. An amicable chat with some jokes that finished with an enigmatic sentence from David: "Well, we go to leave it because there is too much press here. We'll talk".
Just yesterday Swiss Blick reconfirmed that Kimi has signed with Ferrari in 2005 for next year. They expect the announcement in the next 2 months.
Ron said one of current drivers will stay at McLaren. I don't think he wants to keep Montoya. But that would mean Kimi will have to drive several cars next year
Kimi's gonna need a driver's suit like the BAR liveries a few years ago--Ferrari on one half, Renault on the other. Questions: Will he command 2 full salaries for driving for 2 teams at the same time? Will he be eligible for double points? Will he be able to take advantage at Renault by knowing what his pit strategy at Ferrari will be? When he qualifies, can he pick which of his cars gets to use which starting grid spot? Will he steal Jean Todt's hot Japanese wife, only to lose her to Flavio?
If he finishes 1st and 2nd, would he be beside himself in excitement on the podium? Would anyone be able to tell? In 2007 Ferrari and Renault will have 3 pit stops per race. This will allow Kimi Raikkoenen to swap cars twice during a race. It will also double his chances at blowing up an engine during practice so he can have a better chance at his trademark 10 spots back grid position.
That's where alternative fuel proposal comes in play and he will have to pedal the car to finish line. Probably still can beat super aguries.
Now that I have seen how fast <ahem> a Super Aguri can go, I wonder what the speed of a regular Aguri is.
Not that you would really care, but: Jean Todt's companion is Chinese-Malaysia actress Michelle Yeoh, she was in the 007 movie "Tomorrow Never Dies". Jean Alesi is the one with the hot Japanese wife, who also happens to be an actress as well.
How wrong was this post - Schumie didnt renew for 2years. - Kimi did infact sign for Ferrari. - Montoya will be in the Cars2 movie. - Fisico is living the good life. - Wow one out of 5 correct. My prediction of Webber into Reno also wrong (i was searching for something else and stumbled onto this thread and just had to bring it back up )
