My mechanic might have left my car outside in drought ridden Phoenix. That is until it finally rained today. How concerned should I be? It does have a few small bubbles on the passenger side door and on the passenger side engine lid fin. How concerned should I be?

I wouldn't be too concerned. If it's a GTS, I would see if the roof leaked and the carpet might be wet. If that's the case, just pull it up the carpet and dry it out.

No worries at all really. Just drive the car and get it to temp so the water does not 'stand' on various engine bit for many days on end. FYI: the 308 gets rained on, snowed, on, and even gets raced in the wet weather. No worries at all.

I think the door rust is common on earlier 308s (I've seen it here in southern California...) If it's rusting from inside, you might need a new door skin - and have the installer rustproof it and the seams.

If it was my car, I'd probably strip it and consider a respray after getting the necessary metal work done. If a few bubbles are showing, there's more rust that you can't see.

But it depends on what your plans are for the car.
