I saw the movie “Raise the Titanic” (1980) when I was young, based on the book by Clive Cussler novel, this was one of my favorite films as a kid. I was amazed by the special effects at that time & plus I was always fascinated with the mystery of the wreck. At an early age I wanted to work in the special effects industry & I had always wondered what had happened to the five million dollar, fifty-five foot Titanic model. Until I ran across this site, I could not believe that something like this could be trashed & abused over the years. I had thought it was in a private collection or a SPFX museum. It’s a shame if you ask me to let it die like this.

Photos taken during filming in Malta. 18 photos

The model as it is now or what left of it in Malta. 18 photos

Here are also 2 bonus photos I found on the net during filming.
