raising the tailpipes

    Just received a new muffler from UK for my 308 QV ( '84) I am pleased with it but the tailpipes are touching the lower lip of the muffler housing. Is there anyway to raise or adjust the two spring-loaded supports where the muffler is bolted on? I tried to adjust the triple bolt collars at both ends of the catalyst but i am still too close to body openings for the tailpipe not to touch with the vibration. My solution would be to raise the side supports by 1 cm. but i have no idea how to adjust or raise these brackets. Any suggestions from those of you with after market system???Thanks.

    It is a Nouvalari Engeneering muffler-beautifully crafted- and yes ,i did turn the catatlytic ajustment down to raise the tail pipes but it is still too close when vibrating...
