I would trade a month of driving in California on the Pacific Coast Highway to be back for this one.......

Just talked to George last week. Always a good time at his place. And Peter has a nice thing going with his winery.....

Jealousy is setting in!! Wish I could go....

    Update:

In finalizing the route for this Sunday's Rallye Bleu Mont this morning, it was discovered that this weekend is Mineral Point's annual art tour. This means that there will be much to see and do during our 90 minute break (lunch time) in that community, but it also means that the restaurants will likely be crowded and seating somewhat limited.

As a result, we are STRONGLY suggesting that you pack a picnic lunch to enjoy with us in the park. The park offers plenty of parking, picnic tables, covered areas and large shade trees. It is a great spot to relax and enjoy a picnic lunch on a lovely autumn afternoon, and far less stressful than waiting in line for lunch.

Please plan accordingly, and pass this info on to anyone you have invited to join us on Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning.

I took some pics but haven't put them in a format to upload.

We had about 30-35 cars. Among them:

    Ferrari Dino, 575, 355
    Gallardo,
    3 Ford GT's
    Viper GTS-R
    3 Boxsters
    Turbo Cab
    993 with turbo body work
    Couple of other Porsches
    Z3 and Z4
    mid 60's XK
    Exige S
    Cobra 427 (wow, loud)

Morning drive was more leisurely, but quick.

Afternoon drive was very quick. I followed the Lambo, 355 and Exige S in my Boxster. Very nice engine symphony!

I'll post some pics when I finally get some time to shrink the size.

I'd be remiss for not thanking George and Peter for their hospitality. George's collection is amazing. My favorite the #2 GT40 that won Le Mans in '66. The wine at Botham's was, as always, excellent.

    Nice!!

I miss that place. Liked going there....

That house in the background of the Gallardo shot has always been a "dreamhouse" of mine. Going to have to buy it and kick the owners out when I get back there.... Ha!!

It was a great event and getting to meet Peter B was cool. He has been coming to Sunday "church" with us.

Nice Gallardo. I like it all blacked out like that. Also, I have to say that's not a Z3, that's a Z3 M Roadster! (gauging from the picture, I'd say definitely a '98/99) I have one, too. Other than performance, there are other very distinct styling differences between the two. :)

The Gallardo is a Nera, From Wikipedia:

The Nera features special matte black body panels, and is only available in two colours -- Serapis and Noctis. Brake calipers are painted a special silver, and the taillights are smoked to match the darker paint scheme. The interior is stiched from high-contrast black and white leather. Only 185 units of the Gallardo Nera will be produced and 60 are for the American market.

Have a note in my PDA that The Rallye Bleu Mont will happen again this Sunday.
    Any truth to this?
