    So I get a phone call from my neighbor today - apparently, my $99.00 outdoor trashcan exceeds the city ordinance size limit and the inspector is at his house telling him they have to go. (He has the same containers).

    I figured someone on this board would appreciate 3 fairly new 50 gal trash containers - they have hinged lids with wheels. They are similar to the picture but in gray. The only catch is that you have to pick them up from my house.

    Why don't you use them for re-cycling items like newspaper, alum cans, men, etc.

    Makes sense to me. Not to the City Sanitation Compliance Officer. She said that the cans can't remain in their fenced paddock - even if they are empty so I had to roll them out and into the side yard.

    Although the stockpile of used men in the backyard are starting to smell a little funny....:)

    We have the same ordinance but it just means they won't dump the entire container... you can still put bags in them and they'll just grab them out. Our ordinanace went into effect one week after I bought ours.
