My F360 was parked outside; I started her to bring into garage for a wash, but the engine sounded off. When in the garage, it felt and sounded like it was running on 4 cylinders. I shut it off right away, waited a few minutes, started her up again but sounded the same so immediately shut her off. I opened up the access to the front of the engine (where the timing belts are as that was my first fear). Timing belts and bearings were good (phew!). Now, the previous owner "opened up" the factory cats. So CEL has always been on constantly. However, this time, the CEL started flashing. When I connected an OBD2 reader, the only code that I got was P0300 (random misfire). Perhaps it needed to run a little longer to throw a misfire code for specific cylinder(s), but I was afraid to leave it run. I was thinking:
    -blocked cat
    -bad coil(s)
-spark plug (changed them 2 weeks ago)
    -injector(s)
    -bad tank of gas?
I have a good set of cats that I can install. I was thinking of starting with that. Can I safely let the car idle to throw more codes?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know if this will help as my recent "experience" was a bit different with my '05 360.
About a month ago, I tried to start my 360. It had not been on the usual CTek battery maintainer[excellent] for a while. Opened door, no light, nothing when I placed the key in the ignition. Hooked up the CTek and let it sit for ~ a week. Tried again. No luck-just clicking sounds when I tried to start the car. Back on the CTek for another week or so. Tried again. Barely started. Let the car idle for ~ 15 minutes, shut her down, back on the battery maintainer. Waited another week and tried again. Car started normally. CEL went out after starting as normal. Moved the car to another bay, and CEL came on. Hooked up my OBD and found 6 codes all related to "cyl. misfires." Talked with Fernando at Competizione[Thanks!], and proceeded to turn main battery switch in trunk off. Left off for a couple of minutes, turned back on, turned key in ignition and left in the on position for ~ a minute before starting. Started normally, let idle for ~ 5 minutes, CEL went off as usual, drove car 4 hours later with no problems.
This problem was obviously due to an almost dead battery. At no time did the engine sound as if it was running "rough." Hope this may be of some help.
