Sounds to me like a dealer was not able to sell their "highly modded" Ferrari due to lack of market for most heavily modified Ferraris. So they did an insurance job.

As a retired insurance adjuster specializing in fraud, fire and theft, I would classify this fire as "Financial combustion"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I smell far more than a rat.

A year ago my new 430, with 700 mile on it, was destroyed by a fire caused by a rat eating through a fuel line. The gas ran onto the garage floor then the fumes were ignited by the pilot light from the hot water heater. A porsche and two motorcycles were also totaled and there was substantial garage damage. I had just changed insurance companies a few months earlier, the new company, Fireman's Fund, covered the loss promptly and without any problems or issues.

We have been living in a rural location for the last four years. Twice, rats have eaten through wires in two of the other cars, both time the repair bill was over $500. Now we use mouse and rat traps!
