Hi, I have a Ferrari 458 with an annoying squeak coming from the front passenger side. I've tracked it down to the plastic trim under the hood, and I've attached a video showing the noise when I press on it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've bought some felt tape, is the piece safe to remove? It seems to be connected to the windshield on the bottom.

Maybe you can try some dry lube in there?

Before you take anything off --Try some Slick 50 spay to the underside,---If results don't last long enough or insufficient--Try 3M Strip caulk to the under side of the piece. This you roll and mold to the underside of the strip in question, press down slightly to mold to contour necessary. Don't need much. Don't need to do the entire contour. After using it just press and play if you got the squeak. Just recently used some on my daughter's rear roof panel on her new AMG SLK after finding the source. Took her car to the dealer multi times to no avail. Was a 10 min. fix.
