Hi guys, I recently started to notice a loud rattle vibration noise coming from either the center vent area on the dash or under the hood (hard to tell). I notice it more in first gear and gets louder as the revs go higher. I don't notice it much in other gears but definitely prominent in first.

I do not hear it during idle, or if I rev the motor in neutral. I've tried messing around with the fresh/recirc buttons with no affect. Any ideas what this may be?

Sure it's not the gear lever buzzing?

Hmm, definitely not coming from the lever, more from the center vents. It is definitely a buzzing/winding sound

Might be that the drive pin for the fresh air recirculation flap has failed - fairly common. If you open the trunk lid (engine running) and watch the flap while you operate the recirculation button, does the flap open and close, or does it stay in one position? If it stays in one position, then you are probably hearing the servo motor as it attempts to move the flap.
