Gorgeous bike, however for some reason, I sill prefer the RC30, I have no idea why, but it still remains my favorite honda ever, with this one taking a close second.
"It accelerates from 0-60 in less than 2 seconds" I thought even the new literbikes take in the mid 2's....
0-60 times for bikes these days really don't mean much. Ever notice that they rarely vary by more than half a second regardless of displacement etc? Too much power and not enough wheelbase for anyone to achieve much better results. I'm sure a drag racing pro or someone like that could get lots of bikes to 60 in under two seconds, just not very realistic given the amount of skill it would require to do it.
Yeah thats a given... Im saying I highly doubt that bike's getting under 2 seconds regardless of power. I don't know if you understand how much faster you need to accelerate to go from 2.5 sec, to sub 2 sec... And the wheelbase isn't any longer.
Not to sure about that, but 1st is good for 85mph!!! I love the two huge hella style lights. I've heard the RC30 is a better bike.....I didn't click the link, but Im guessing its going/went for low $20k? NO SIR! You could get a friggin Bimota Vdue for that, if you want something unique...There was nothing then or now about the bike worth $20k....I love the bike, but what were they thinking? bad timing I guess.....916
I think the power is there to do it, I just don't think anyone without superhuman abilities is ever going to be able to put it to the ground without flipping over. I seem to recall that there was a bike i nthe 80's that pulled it off in a magazine test, once, but for the life of me, I can't remember which one it was.
With the super tall first gear (not to mention it is overweight and underpowered by today's standards), I highly doubt 0-60 is in the sub-two second range. I've ridden similar bikes with that kind of gearing and they are damn near impossible to launch. That said, the RC-45 has some sweet mechanical sounds...I've always loved V-4's. Larry
cool engine wrapped in a Narf package......I think any piece of the bike costs over a grand to replace too.
