    The Trans Am just ain't what it used to be. Its 1970 season was perhaps the best ever run by a U.S. road-racing sanctioning body. They need to get rid of Corvettes and Cadillacs and run it just for today's "pony cars" - Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers, and see if they can attract the sort of teams they used to have.
