    Hi Folks

Proud new owner of a 96 car(UK) .The cats have been removed and replaced with straight through pipes and a sports exhaust .I wish to restore the car to factory spec exhaust and cats .

Has anyone done this ? did you have any probs with the 02 sensors and the thermocouples .(they are all still there and installed in the dummy cat).

    Regards

I agree. Half the money, and mo betta too. Try the O2 sensors you have. You may have to replace them, but maybe not (especially euro spec car).

Thanks guys , got the car yesterday and the "slow down" light is coming on after a high speed run , seems to suggest that all is not well with the current setup.

Does anyone know if the muffler can be removed without removing the rear bumper and grille ?

    Regards

I have a Tubi exhaust and Hyperflow cats on my 1996 355 gtb. Everything works just fine. No problems whatsoever.

Maybe your cars lights are coming on because its not been set up correctly.
The rear bumper only takes 15mins to remove, rather than wrestle the exhaust system out from under the car with it in situ.
And no the grill does not have to be removed. Were in the UK are ya anyways dude??

Thanks Chaa , im in Ayrshire , bonnie Scotland.

The guy i bought the car off didnt say wether he had the setup changed , i just started to get the lights on the drive home , bummer !

Maybe the two arent connected , i suspect they are .
I have got some software coming in the week and i will be able to decode the ECU and see what s going on.

Have you tried turning of the master battery switch for the night to reset the ECU?? Then in the morning turn the switch back on and start the car with out touching the throttle. Let run for 10-15 mins so they can reset. This usualy sorts out alot of light problems,
