I would like to think that these rules are on a "Circumstantial" basis. I know that Rules are Rules, but come on. I think that most people on here would obey the rules if the people that incite the flaming etc... were shut off quickly, therefore taking away the need for retaliation, and therefore general unrest. I know i was guilty of some type of this behaviour in Bruce's thread. But i dont regret one word of it. I am sorry for causing the thread to be closed, but im not sorry for what i said.

I haven't commented offline (or whatever the appropriate word for it is_ to either of you, but what I do know is Chris has been a constructive and active participant in our community consistently over many months here in the Tri-state forum. He joins us on runs, hangs out with us, and adds to the unique character that makes this board worth frequenting for a lot of us here in the NY tri-state and elsewhere. You, I have not seen here before today. That alone makes you look like an instigator to me. While you haven't had a positive thing to say during the time I've spent in this region, I can see from your post count that you've been around other parts of fchat and I can only imagine that you have hopefully been more constructive elsewhere. I don't have time to go verify this, and frankly I don't care since where I spend most my time is here among the people I've met and driven with and hung out with. I have nothing against you for being 12,000 miles away, but bear in mind that Chris has the benefit of having spent quality personal time with many of the regulars in this region's forum. You haven't had that benefit. I'm not one for ultimatums or other wild statements, so I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions from what I've said here. namaste
Mike I do have a problem with YOU. I understand that you have Bruce's back which you should. You are his friend. The problem is that Bruce made a comment awhile back to Chris. I'm sure that he didn't mean to be mean but Chris did take it that way. The problem is you only see half the situation. I know that Bruce didn't mean anything by it but he and you must also understand Chris is reacting to what was written earlier in the message board. No disrespect to Bruce but I can see how Chris took what Bruce wrote to him. Bruce is Caucasion, so when an person that is an immigrant reads a comment about their english, it can be taken as a racist comment. Would Bruce do that knowingly to hurt a fellow EC person, no. So with all said, it's between them not you or me. Both Bruce and Chris are stand up guys..
Respectable comments to jptyke and Schultzois. I respect both of you, as i put out the call, and you both answered. If you could please read everything i type, that would be fair. Listen. As i can see it is that there is quite a "tight-nit" group that exists in the "EC". Being an outsider to this might cause a little anomosity with you guys. I can understand that. SO lets take the situation. I come on here and see that Bruce has a problem with CC. I read through the thread, reading many comments and seeing the way that different people deal with the situation. Its interesting stuff. I then stumble onto a post from our friend Chris here saying about how he types in CAPS. Now i dont really know the circumstances before hand that has led up to that comment, except seeing it on the thread, but the way that i see it in my opinion, is that it was un-called for. I have a close family member who is in the same medical condition as our friend Bruce. I know what it is like to deal with poor vision. Its very frustrating at the least and can be quite un-nerving at times. Chris bringing that up and putting it into Bruces face looked plain wrong to me. I asked Chris wether or not he knew the reasoning behind Bruce using CAPS, and he acknowledged that he knew. If it was innocent, then i wouldnt have the slightest problem with it. Having Bad english is something that can be FIXED. Having bad vision is something that CANNOT BE FIXED All the laser surgery BS in the world cannot amount to perfect vision. The difference here is that Chris has brought up an issue with Bruce that has Real World consequences. Being told you have "Bad English", dosnt. Grow some balls. I realise that most of the comments i have said in this forum have been negative. I was naive to think that people explored other parts of the site. Obviously not. So im sad that you have that impression, but once again, i understand how you got that. It amazes me that Chris has this "natural" advantage over me, because you have met and know him in real life. I know the meaning behind that, but seriously, take it as it is, and view the comments of both parties as they are. Look at it from my side of the planet. Mike, I honestly believe it was all in good ribbing between bruce and chris. Both are good Men. I think when you read the messages, naturally you wanted to stand up for Bruce. I see both Chris' point and understand where you are coming from. We all have different experiences in our past and in our lives which make us react the way we do. Bruce made a comment in good fun in his point of view which chris made a come back with his comments in good fun. Now seeing the written word without hearing the tone changes a lot of things. I'm sure Bruce was saying it for "fun" but so did chris for "fun." Now looking outside in and with your personal history and experiences, I'm sure it seemed purely mean what chris wrote. Long story short, when you verbally attacked Chris, he reacted. Who wouldn't. But once you started in with you comments, it read very harsh and obtuse. What person wouldn't react? So when people get attacked or feel attacked they say things to get under your skin. Chris does not pick or make fun of people in REAL life. Like I said both Bruce and Chris are good men. Remember this is New York, to show that we like each other. We like to give a good ribbing to friends once in awhile.

Mike, I was one of the people who IM'd Chris, saying that **** between you 2 was funny, because i thought it was, we have lots of flame wars here, theyre all in good fun. I've read your posts on other sections of the site, I've seen you contribute there, its just you dont yet have a feel for how the 'EC' works, trust me, we're a controversial group, even here on Fchat. You also have to respect that like you are a close friend of Bruce, several of us are also close friends of Chris, but we knew Chris was going to handle this and that is why we didnt intervene, you did and if you think that was right, thats fine, its all perspective. We all knew Chris was not going to take this seriously, if you go back and read the Keith bashing thread, it was much much 'worse' than things that were said in Bruce's thread. What you say about medical conditions is right, you have not met Chris in real life, he's a great guy, I'm sure that was not his intention. But when somebody says something, you're gonna come back with smething, sometimes its harsh but thats how the EC works. I know you wont understand that, but thats just fine
Ever been to Australia? If you have, you might of picked up on that attitude down here. Hence why i took a stand agaisnt him. I knew he was respected. He is Rossa Subsribed. He has a decent post count, and he knows quite a lot of you. I knew what i was up against. But mate, when push comes to shove, i dont care who you are.
