The best come-back to this (courtesy of the ferrarilist) is "That's not what your girlfriend said last night." ;)

Do you suppose for a nanosecond that anything you could have said (or any amount of mopping the curb with him) would insert a clue into a thick head?

It's the people who make such comments that have self-image issues. People whose careers consist of turning papers in their "in" baskets into papers in someone else's "in" basket may have to resort to attempted "road kill" to feed their egos. I'd like to tell them to go build something and give their egos a solid meal. But if they could understand it, they'd already be there.

Your dad didn't get upset about this because (like most people successful enough to own a Ferrari) he's had enough accomplishments that he doesn't have to worry about what some passing stranger thinks. When you get older, and get a few professional and personal accomplishments under your belt, you may get a bit of perspective too.

Life is not a zero sum game. Messing with someone else's day (with stunts like sticking someone at a red light) doesn't improve your life. Running down successful people doesn't improve your tally. It's depressing how few people understand this, these days.

I find it dismaying how many drivers in the DC metro area feel the need to try to "race" the Ferrari. How lame does your life have to be that you feel the need to gain any kind of affirmation by getting in the face of a complete stranger? *sigh*

I dont currently own an f-car....but if a woman shouted that at me, i'd ask her to bend over and then tell me if i had a small one..if a guy said it i'd ask him to send over his wife/gf who in turn could tell him how small it was...

    Simple!

Sorry but there will always be jealous idiots out there....just enjoy what you have and ignore them!

I had a girl ask me the same question, she wanted me to go on her radio talk show and talk about it. I said "put this on your radio talk show-
Since i was 5 years old I have had pictures of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches plastered all over my walls. Do you really think that when I was five I was looking down at my thingy saying "I wonder if its a big one...Yep, its big, time to take down all these posters". Maybe it's something that guys say to their girlfriends in the car so that they don't jump out and get into your car...hmmm....sounds like a good deterence

-P.S. - love the comment about the ricer with a small one as well, just no money...you can add no class onto that one too.

A whole lot of jealousy....although I don't drive a Ferrari, I get the same reaction with my S-Class and G-Wagen. The funny thing is that, when I drive through the "poorer" side of town (Oakland), they are more appreciative of the cars, rather than the "middle class" part of town. The "wealthier" side of town, don't even care what you drive.

Tree huggers are usually the worst ones. Specially with the G-Wagen.
