    So I Think I just failed a midterm. Couldn't remember how to find the covariance of an asset with the market portfolio, and thus couldn't find the beta of the asset, and thus it's expected return. And also forgot a "2" in the equation for the minimum variance point.

    And the week from hell just keeps on going! Time to go spend another 7 hours working on my organization's website :(

    I'm ready for the weekend (fall break!) Who else?

    When in doubt about the expected return, you can always fall back on the Universal Rate of Return: i.e. 10%!

    Sorry about your exam, do you get partial credit for multipart questions when the first calculation gives you a bad number but you use that bad number correctly in the follow-on calculations? (I'm not sure I even understand this question!).

    Now that I think about it, 10% probably wouldn't have been too off for one of the assets....I think the overall market return was set around 12% in the problem.

    As for partial credit, god I hope so! We did on the last midterm...(where the class average was 45% and my 62% will hopefully be curved to an A...)

    I have one class tonight, and 2 essays i have to write for a class tomorrow. and i think im going to skip it so i can go home early. who needs to know English anyways

    Don't ya just love college. You know right away if you are going to pass or fail a test. Any tests with math, normally means a lower grade in my case. Skipping one of my classes tom., b/c of Yom Kippur; but I've also got a paper due for the class I've yet to start.

    One roomates has two papers due tomorrow too. All four of us have had crazy weeks (multiple midterms/papers/projects), and its remarkable to see how quickly our living conditions have deteriorated. A week ago, our suite was impeccable and spotless. Now, we've all been so stressed and busy that we practically live in squalor...

    I've got 2 midterms and 1 final over the next week and a half. I also already took one on Monday. We don't have a fall break. We even go to school on Labor Day. I'm not really complaining too much, but it sucks when the rest of your family or your friends are off, and you can't spend some time with them. I could use a long weekend though.

    This week has been the worst. I had 4 midterms scheduled on monday. I got one moved to last friday. Tomorrow I have my last one business stat. I am so tired and worn out right now I just want to get everything over with. I studied none stop for about the last week with a little f-chat time in between.

    Ive been loaded up this week as well. Ive got to get all my college apps done each with an essay. I have an AP European paper i have to write tonight, Calc test tomorrow, econ test tomorrow, and an 8 page english paper due friday (which i havent started because of all the other crap i have to do). Senior slide starts in january. Im so ready.....
