I know how you feel. It took me 3 weeks to get the registration straightened out for my Murci when I got her last year. Torture to just sit there isn't it? You start thinking about all the people who drive around with no plates, or no insurance, with no issues, knowing full well if you hit the streets in your exotic without your "papers in order" that you'd certainly get pinched. Glad to hear you're ready to roll!
Wish I could. I saw the post about it and responded there. I'm getting car audio installed and it's expected to take all weekend. Hopefully I can make the next one!
we are meeting at the starbucks on west causeway approach at 11 or friends resraurant in madisonville at 11:30. Lunch followed by a short drive.
so far it looks to be a great turn out for this one. This will be a warm up to Abita Ball IV and the poker run.
When is the Abita Ball Run? PS I've registered on Bimmerforums as well since a lot of these schedules and pics seem to be coming from there. Cool to see several Louisiana subforums with activity!
We are still working on the dates for Abita Ball Run IV. We need some warmer dry weather so probably March or April. Looking to integrate a poker run with it. Once we have the details, they will be posted all over. If you have a facebook, we have a club page also. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/group.php?gid=103505360154
Thanks for the info! I'm not on Facebook. I'm too old fashioned and stick to the forums. I didn't realize the Abita Ball run was a cruise to NO. I prob won't be able to make that, though it sounds like you guys have a nice turnout. I'm definitely down for anything you guys do this side of Gonz./Met. though (I'm in Lafayette). Baton Rouge and Lafayette meets/cruises are what I'll keep an eye out for. Just need the stars to align between weather, schedule, and wife approval. Are there ever any meets near Lafayette? Seems like most occur around BR or NO, which is understandable. I've seen a few nice cars here in Lft though. Not sure if they are on the forums. There is a yellow Gallardo I see once in a while, a couple Elise, an Exige.. used to be a CGT (owner of Zeus I think). Thx again!
Group of local european car enthusiasts. Just about everyone who posts in this Louisiana section has been to one of our (small) meets. We usually have a few bimmers, a couple porsches, ferraris and a couple lambos usually show. Maybe in the range of 25 cars or so. Just come on out and look for the cars. They let me come even though I drive a Japmobile.
