Does anyone know something about this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUK%3A1&viewitem=&item=180104738883 Weird, at least... Ciao Eugenio
No pictures of the drive motor, batteries, etc. I'd want more information. Interesting concept. For that kind of money, I'd buy a Tesla sports car instead. At one time I looked into converting a Lancia Scorpion into all electric drive. I ended up not doing it for lack of funds, but it would have been a great platform to do it with.
Says converted by a company in Chicago, but the car is a Euro model with obvious foreign tags airbrushed out. The exhaust tips are still in place too. Googling von Eberhardt, Inc. gives me nothing. Smells like a scam.
My, that was quite an expansive picture biography detailing the engine conversion process and performance specifications. What is really going on here? Do I raise my right hand up in the air now, or later?
this is the true definition of "doesn't get the concept". Replacing a ferrari's engine? I rather he replace the body. a ferrari is the engine. duh.
Where would they have put the batteries? Possibilities: where the spare tire was, in the after boot or the removal of the passenger seat. With all that room for battery storage, crusing distance should be about 50 miles.
This has to be a scam. I agree with the fishiness of not having engine pics. This was the most interesting part to me: It will even outperform new Ferrari's. Hummmm.
Cross-posted (as is common). Also a thread in 308/328 section, but similar discussion. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145738 Not sure anyone thinks this is real, at least not yet. James in Denver
