Not sure if this is real, about it being in N.O. and all, I searched real quick and didnt find anything. Anyone know anything about this croc? If it is true that is DAMN amazing and even more damn scary such a beast exsists!

Anyways, heres some pic and the short story behind it all:
    --------------------------------------------
    Giant Croc

This crocodile was found in New Orleans swimming down the street.
21 FT long, 4,500 lbs, around 80 years old minimum.

Specialists said that he was looking to eat humans because he was too old to
catch animals. This crocodile was killed by the army and the contents of it's stomach were
    analyzed shortly after.

Yea, thats what I was thinking though. But these are the first time ive seen these pictures, and with the timing of Katrina and the flooding of N.O., it does sound possible.

I wish we could see the liscense plate of that truck, to see if it was a Loisiana plate or not. I know that croc isnt fake, but the story does sound a little fishy.

Crocodiles live in Africa, alligators in North America. Croc's are much larger than alligators, too. I believe the picture, on face value, to be true. I've been to Zimbabwe and South Africa and they are a sight to see. You wouldn't believe the manner in which they are hunted. You see one barely out of the water or nearby on a small beach. Once shot, the croc', wounded or not(obviously) will sink. In order to retrieve the animal, they take long walking sticks into the water where they poke around for the animal. I am not sh---ing you guys. True story.

On a side note, if you ever have the chance to eat crocodile, jump on it. They carry a large fillet vicinity their hind legs. The taste is a combination of chicken and shrimp. It's wonderful, stuff. I'd imagine alligator's very similar.

Crocodiles also live in Florida. That's a fact.

EDIT: The one above definitely isn't an American Crocodile.

Dane you beat me to it. We don't have croc's down in Nawlins. Now we do have ALLIGATORS that big down here, just not swimming down the street.

Yes...they look a little different than the ones most people are used to seeing.
Do a Google search for "American Crocodile" or "Crocodile Habitat".

    Worthy of a repost!

The scene is set, night, cold, campfire, stars twinkle in the dark
    night sky...

Three hang-glider pilots, one from Australia, one from South Africa
and the other from New Zealand, are sitting around a campfire near
Ayers Rock, each embroiled with the bravado for which they are famous.

A night of tall tales begins.... Kiven ,the Kiwi says, "I must be the
meanest, toughest hang glider dude there es. Why, just the other day,
I landed in a field, scared a crocodile who got loose from the swamp
which ate six men before I wrestled it to the ground... with my bare
    hands".

Jerry from South Africa typically can't stand to be bettered. "Well
you guys, I lended orfter a 200 mile flight on a tiny trail and a
fifteen foot Namibian desert snike slid out from under a rock and
made a move for me. I grebbed thet borsted with my bare hinds and
beet it's head orf ind sucked the poison down in one gulp. Ind I'm
    still here todaiy".

Barry the Aussie remained silent, slowly poking the fire with his
    penis.

The Croc is real...... picture was taken a few years ago. That is not the Croc they found in New Orleans though. I've read the real Croc is more than half the size (only about 1,000 pounds). Either way, I wouldn't want either of them trying to have me for lunch!!
