    OK, I went looking for a new phone today as the old one has a battery that is dying during a day's usage where it use to last 2-3 days without charging.

    I do a lot of tethering on my phone so this doesn't help the issue and usually gives me ONE full day of use.

    Charging every day is ok but my phone ain't cutting it so need a new one.

    The trouble is I HATE Apple and they're shjt phones anyway, for simpletons and children :p

    I've had Google phones in the past and they were rubbish but I'm told (by an unreliable sauce <--hehe) they are brilliant now but I've been a Samsung devotee for a while now but all the reviews I read about the 22S and similar is that the battery life is poor.

    Here's what I need :

    Sub $1500
    Loooonnnnggg battery life
    FAST processor with about 64G memory
    normal size phone
    3/4/5G
    Rugged construction (don't need watertight as I don't go swimming with it)

    I don't need a grandiose phone but I do need a phone that lasts a LONG time even if I use wifi (which is a big drain of phones)

    I don't care about how great a photo they take as just about every phone out there is brilliant so who cares what the quality of the pic is ?

    If you use wifi a LOT I'd be interested in how long it goes between charges

    I get that you want long battery life but charging really shouldn't be that much of an issue these days.

    Every time you get in your car you should be able to charge it. If you have charging stations around the house plug it in whenever you're watching telly etc.

    I reckon there are some people whom are simply averse to charging things, and it wouldn't matter how long the battery life is their stuff would always be about to go flat.
    Chloe is the worst person on earth for this. Everything she owns is constantly flat - phone, laptop, iPad, whatever. It wouldn't matter if there were charging points right in front of her 24/7 somehow she would still let them all run down instead of plugging them in occasionally. :p

    She's not the worst ..... I am !!! :p

    I run bluetooth AND wifi almost all day which buggers the battery life, and then I get home and run Kayo and Netflix on wifi , phone dies about 8pm :(

    I HAVE to keep it on charge in the car now due to the battery being on the way out and then look for the charger when I get home.

    I was hoping someone here would say "oh, I run bluetooth and wifi all day and the battery is still going strong"

    Mac is the one thing I wouldn't touch with a bargepole.

    iPhone, iPad etc. yep.

    Computers and laptops should be Windows. Anything else is being deliberately contrary and usually done by someone with purple hair and nose-rings.

    My colleagues at work are very smart programmers and use MACs all the time but they fell short when I bought her MAC in for them to sort out :p
