Litchfield Impreza Type-25 Spec C Renaultsport Megane 230 F1 Team R26 How long do car names have to be these days? They dont exactly roll off of the tongue.
I can't believe that nobody has mentioned the PROBE!!!!! I thought MR2 was == to "Go skrew yourself".... oh well, probably just as bad as what the previous post mentioned. BTW: In the TomTom commercials where the driver keeps referencing the passenger's name... twice, one of the names mentioned is "Sue Sue"; In Tagalog, this is 'wonderful' part of the female anatomy. I laugh every time I hear that phrase.
When I first saw this thread the name Probe was the first name I thought of. What a dumb name. I always hated it.
They were rushed. As I heard it at the time, that car was slated to become the new "Mustang". When the specs for the FWD platform slipped out, the 'Stang community screamed. So they slapped the "Probe" name on the new car and kept the stang RWD. They must have been thinking of a "marketing probe". I guess that's better than "the Ford Flagpole".
Suzuki Swift, it's not swift Renault Mengane, even the French have a hard time pronouncing it Kia and Hyundai have a terrible naming scheme. All I think of is that fat lady in the commercial screaming about their SUV acting like it is the second coming of christ
This company has cornered the market on stupid names *and* ripped-off designs for cars. Mitsuoka Galue, anyone? Or how about a nice "Viewt" (the "t" at the end is on purpose! I guess it's pronounced like "newt"). Oh yeah, almost forgot their new flagship "supercar". Meet the Mitsuoka Orochi! Not only does it sound like a nasty venereal disease, it also looks like one! So much for the 'show' - it has no 'go' either (230 hp)! My WRX can run rings around this "supercar"!
