Rear 308 GTS Roof Seal Question

My roof seal is fine, but the door seal on the passenger side is torn and it looks like someone tried to glue it back badly.

I bought a replacement seal, that looks to be a one-piece that runs from the door over the roof and to the other door.

Should I simply cut the door part and replace that?

Or should I replace the whole thing?

And if replacing the whole thing does any of the interior pieces need to come out to do that or can I just push the seal inside of the interior pieces?

Its very easy. I have never felt tempted to cut and splice. It runs as I recall from near the bottom of the door post on both sides. Noting needs to be removed. I use a light plastic mallet to tap it into place. Sometimes a screwdriver to slightly pry the upholstered panels at the rear of the door opening up and over the top just a little to get the seal started under it.

Just faced exactly the same dilemma and chose to replace the entire thing. That was due to:
A) Not knowing if a “patch” would be effective and
B) The fact that I’m planning to sell the car in the near future and “Replacing” the seal sounded better to me than “Repairing/Patching” the seal.
Regarding installation, I had the shop do mine so cannot speak to what does/does not need to be removed. Good luck.

Totally agree - Cutting and splicing a section into the seal just sounds like asking for trouble.
