As for rears, like many here i wanted to keep the e-brake so kept rear stock calipers. The DS3000 on the rear REALLY balance the stock Brembo pads well (DS2500 were too weak IMHO) and seem to last a long time (all things being relative for heavy track use). Have had ZERO fade so far, but am adding front cooling lines this week in an inexpensive but (humbly said) ingenious manner.

i know ??? offers rear ducts, but i also recall the price is high. Anyone have a good, relatively inexpensive solution for rear caliper/rotor cooling?

Hmmm, obviously I have no real clue. Since you don't mind cutting on the car, maybe a NACA duct like Ferrari used on the 208 turbo would help you get air where you want it.

Check out the 308 on this site:

The rear caliper scoops are nothing more than some bent sheet metal. They are not easy to see in the pics but I am sure you will be able to piece it together from the various shots.

Tillman: Have been debating doing that and as you know, cutting up the car is fine with me provided it services a purpose. So far i have had <knocking on wood> ZERO brake fade, but as things progress and the street tires have now given way to ever-grippier R-compound am sure brake temps will rise accordingly as well.

Nuvolari: Thanks for the link, LOTS of interesting data. Many thanks!

    Hi Steven,

I recommend mounting one of these under the car (L+R) in the position shown just ahead of the rear wheels and running a 3" hose to the rotor/caliper.

Be sure to port the air into the center of the rotor and not the face. the air is designed to flow through the rotor, if you try to cool one face only, you can make the dic cone due to temperature differential of the faces.

This duct is available at most race shops.
    Hope it helps.

    Eric,

You, kind sir, are a scholar and a gentleman. i can easily do that and know where you are talking about and where to get all the supplied needed. Thanks also for the hint about WHERE to have the pipe port to as Scott and i JUST installed the front coolers and will move the port to the location you suggest. We had it blowing on/near the caliper, but can easily change that to the center as you suggest. Your knowledge is VERY MUCH appreciated.

MANY thanks as ALL help is ALWAYS appreciated!!!! (x1,000)

PS: the brakes work GREAT!!! Was concerned with the new R-compound rubber and increased speeds on the track today (and 'added' braking). i am able to brake at least a full second or two later than most other guys on the track and STILL have plenty of leeway/room for an error (read: NOT K.O.L.B., just have more brake than they do).
