    Hello gentlemen!

I'm trying to track down a vibration that I hear under load at around 3k to 3.5k RPM. In just doing a visual reconnaissance of the engine bay, checking anything that may be loose, I noticed (see pics) that the right rear catalytic converter looks like it is touching the right side of the transmission with a heat shield in between them. The converter on the left has about 2 in of clearance between it and the transmission. Is the distance on the right normal?

Here is a video as well:

A couple things come to mind for me, as that doesn't look right at all - the heat shield shows fairly obvious marks of contacting something at some point. Is your exhaust centered, as in the tips centered in the bumper? It's almost like the exhaust needs some adjusting. The other thing that comes to mind is motor mounts or transmission mount, perhaps allowing things to sag on the right side.

+1 to redo your mounts both motor and transmission.

The cats are adjustable- did the car have a different rear silencer in the past. You will have to remove the silencer , remove the cats and fit new joints into the intake and realign the cats.

That's the kind of feedback I'm talking about! I just had the clutch replaced and I noticed the rear right tailpipes are in about an inch more than the left hand side. So, exactly! I think that is what is causing that to be so close. Close. Hopefully that's also the reason why I'm hearing the rattle.

I should also state that the motor mounts are fine and the transmission mounts were replaced.

Thank you for your reply. The silencer is OEM. The headers are Ferrari Challenge headers.

They take the Cats out to do the clutch, problem is the inlet joint at the cat may not seal when you adjust it.

Glad I could potentially help resolve the issue. Adjusting the exhaust isn't super straight forward but basically just loosen both sides of the catalytic converters as well as the silencer and move stuff around until the exhaust tips sit centered in the holes. Then cinch everything back down tight. Technically there's a "Ferrari tool" that centers the exhaust in the bumper but us pleabs don't have access to it (at least that I know of) - a good eyeball or two will get things situated nicely though.
