355 rear challenge gravel guards

I did a search and found no discussions regarding the rear challenge guards for the 355 challenge. 62978600

It looks like these have a hole vs the standard 355, I am assuming they are for additional cooling for the radiators to get airflow? Has anyone did this upgrade? I am surprised there's no discussion related to this. I happened to come across it because I was trying to plan on changing my intake routing duct to go through the rear window like the challenge vs the side scoops. Apparently there is more direct airflow through the windows but the problem is the hole on the side windows on the standard 355 has a smaller hole opening so I was hoping to find a different part number for the opening for the challenge and came across the gavel guards.

 

I have a pair if you are in need, they have an additional hole with mesh covering it.
