    my rear hatch release broke on me at c.i. while repairing it i managed to get the left one adjusted wrong or too lose and now only the right one releases. i cannot figure a way into the hatch to release it. has anyone ever had this problem and if so how did you get the hatch open? ideas anyone? thanx in advance to all.

    I don't know if 308 have them, but my boxer has emergency, or secondary release's located behind each seat.

    Try pushing down or pulling up on the stuck side while someone else is pulling the release

    there have been a couple of people who have had to deal with stuck boot latches. Search the Tech Q&A archives for:
    [stuck latch]

    BOTTOM LINE:
    If you can't get it to release using the emergency cable, then the alternatives are:
    - Drill a hole in the wheel well, reach in with a metal rod & trip the latch. (There's a thread with pix.)
    - Break a tail-light by the stuck latch

    The emergency release is a finger loop located a bit above the seatbelt retractor on the driver's side. It's shown in the owner's manual.
