Can anyone point me to a photo of the two small grilles on either side of the diaper on a 308QV? And maybe part nos? I can't find them in the parts book; maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

I believe that the problem is that the online 308QV SPC is for the euro version only, and the euro doesn't use those parts -- see:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136777128&postcount=44

Don't know if they are the same as the US version 308 carbed parts or not, but the '78-'79 US 308B/S SPC 161/78 is available online, and those parts are shown on Tav 102 -- you can download a copy of 161/78 from here: http://www.ferraridatabase.com/The_Downloads/Manuals_Parts.htm

To be sure, you'll need to find someone with a copy of the US version 308QV SPC, and I believe they'll be different SPC for '83 vs '84-'85. We desperately need to get online copies of those and for US version 308i-2V -- FerrariUK used to have them online many moons ago (not in a downloadable format), but no more...

And just WHEN ;) are you going to scan this US version 308QV SPC and send a copy to Ben Deetman (email = [email protected]) so that he can post it at www.ferraridatabase.com!

Those PNs are different than the US carb 308 PNs.

What size of drill did you use to drill out the rivets? Next question what size rivet did you use to put them back on the car?

JuSt drill the head off and knock th rivets out once part is safely off.

Match up the new rivet by head diameter and depth, off the old ones??

The holes in the grill are 3mm, from what I can tell from a quick look around is a 2.8mm (M3) rivet but the length for the correct clamping force seems to be either way short or way long. The grills are 1.5mm thick and without having the old ones off yet, guestimating the same or slightly thicker at 2mm for the car body. So decided to ask the group for any thoughts and experience on what they used.
