Doing some detail stuff while I wait for my booster. My carpet on the rear wall of the trunk is basically just sitting there loose. I'm guessing this was fixed to the fiberglass panel behind it when new, but I'm not 100 percent so I didn't want to glue anything unless that's correct. Just trying to figure out if it was fixed or not and if so how. Thanks
Usually it is very stiff and at the top edge tucked behind a panel seam to hold it to the rear vertical surface. It needs to be able to be pulled out for access behind it. If you feel above and behind it I think you will understand. There is a metal lip facing downward that is lower that the carpet upper edge. Just with fingers you should be able to tuck it behind that lip.
