    Hey!!
Does any one know if something can be bought to cover the muffler on my 1984 308QV GTS? I know the 328 has a valance, but the design of the rear body does not allow it to be interchangable. I checked the parts list for the 308, but it does not exist. Does any body have a year where it does exist? Some people say it looks great the way it is, but even Susan Summers is a tire biter without her makeup! (Mind you I wouldn't B**CH too much if she was in the passenger seat!)

That's how the euro 308 looks- so there is no cover from the factory. One would need to be custom made or modified from a US car.

I also think it looks fine as is- but that is just my opinion.

I just wish it was tucked under a bit more. But I guess they are kinda like saggy boobies on old ladies... If you like old ladies, you take the saggy bits too... I don't think anyone will say to me... nice car! shame about the saggy exhaust! (WHAM! IN THE MOUTH IF THEY DO)

    ROTFLMAO!!

This has been discussed before! LOTS of times...

Note the Euro valence has cut outs for a higher elevation of the exhaust tips.

The one carreaper has IS the original FACTORY part for a four tip exhaust US system.....trouble is it ONLY fits the thermo muffler spacing and WILL NOT fit the ANSA most dealers installed before even selling the car!

I run two with ANSA and I have undertaken a custom part to LOOK like the 1 -1/8" "stagger slot" cover, but fit the ANSA system. I'm not finished yet but have a pattern made.

You just need to adjust where the oval cutouts go...and it IS a hand made factory piece, a little crude, but shows the loving marks of Luigi the panel bender!

I could use yours carreaper along with some yellow turn lenses.....;)..talk to me!

The louvered piece is for later cars and covers quite a ways under the car, it's a pricey piece and you will note the rear body sheetmetal openings are different as well.........

The correct part name is "muffler shroud".....

Sell you mine??? And leave my baby's bottom bare? Sorry.
That's the standard back end on the '83 308qv USA cars.

It looks like it's held on by 4 10mm bolts on the sides & 6 10mm bolts to the body under the bumper. I've never had it off, but that'll change soon as I need a new muffler.

You can either watch e-bay as they do crop up occationally when folks part out cars or call our friends at T-Rutlands as they part out cars.

Spray everything but the tips High Heat Black and let it go.......LOL!

The part "rear valence" is actually the metal part above the shroud...I've purchased one of those as well....the guys at the local muffler shop hacksawed mine to make up for a misfabrication of a home built system, once upon a time......before I purchased the car....

I got a brand new older style from Ferrari of Atlanta to replace a "lost" one...I think they had a damaged used one, at the time.

Maybe use that as a starting point for a "euro version"?????

I think one like Clyde's sells for over $1,000.00USD new, be careful backing up, Clyde!

You should see a doctor about that cough!!! My sinus problems, sniff sniff, are from too much, sniff, white powder, sniff... but a cough, sniff, could be serious.... SNIFFFFFFFF wipe....
I really hope you didn't take offense to what I wrote about the "fast and furious crappy" Your car isn't crappy looking, it is just mine has the balls hanging out of the back and I don't like it.... kind of like looking at the rear end of a pregnant cow... ewwwwwwww...(without the calf coming out of course)
OHHH yeah... what's with the Porsche sitting in your driveway? You can't have two super cars at the same time! I couldn't decide which to buy between the Porsche 3.3l 930 turbo or the 308... but you have both... FU/%ç)ç&/....&ç)=(%)/ç*)ç)=ç&///*"/=?&/`(&%... ahhhhh glad I got that out of my system...

Gravel roads, out here in the Wide Open Spaces.......I know carreaper has lost a set in his garage, so I keep reminding him..

I suppose I could fit mesh covers to them, for the Jeep Look, eh?

Reoriginals has the bi-color euro style but has not found the solid amber lately.
So I am always on the lookout.......

you need the amber fronts? i have 4 sets i think. i would rather have the euros and i always switch them out. :) i have been slowly selling the Z28 and Trans Am stuff off. i need to do an ad in Hemmings and on Ebay and dump all the muscle car crap i have ( 20 years worth!)

i did find 3 Dino cooling fans and a mint Dino Cromodora wheel while i was making room for the GTB. found my huge box of Lambo parts too , still in the factory plastic. going to sell that stuff too. :)

my life was so much simpler when i had the red GTB and the red GT4 and they were both sorted out........ :(
