    Hi all

I am thinking of new wheels for my 355, due to the difficulty in getting the stock wheels refurbished. Id like to get it on the road before the end of summer, so a second set of wheels is a good idea IMO.

Rear offset on these is a very high (low?) ET77. What is the lowest I can go on the same width wheel?

I have found a set I like (in 19") everything fits (width, etc) but the rear offset is only available up to ET45. I fear this will move the wheel too far out, and hit the inside of the wheel arch.

So the question is, can I move the rear wheel 3.2cm outwards without hitting anything (on a 265 rear tyre)?

    Much appreciated.

People run 11, 15 and 25 mm spacers on 355s although the 25s are much less common. 11 seems most common.

Can anybody measure the space from the inside hub face to the outside edge on the factory wheel - I need to compare and mine is in storage :)

Width / 2 - offset. I think. Double check but it's just math. Start with looking up definition of offset. After that its simple. I've done it but don't recall exactly but it was easy to figure out. Good luck!

I did think that would be the case.
The wheel moves out towards the bodywork 3.2cm. Additionally, the rear wheel I am fitting is a 9.5J rather than a 10J so I end up with a narrower wheel, so approximately 2.5cm. Which should be fine :)

Actually, it would be a little different, and it can vary. The offset is based on the gun location in reference to the tire mounting surface, in this example, 10". 10"from inside lip to inside lip.
There is metal outside that area, spokes can stick out as well. Typically a 10" rim is more like 11" on the outside.

For fender clearance spokes sticking out is not a factor but you are correct if your trying to measure for lift clearance or what not. Worth remembering, often overlooked.

For fender clearance the math is based on what ever the actual outside rim bead measurement is not what's on paper describing it.
