Can you please let me know where I can get the center clip for my rear windscreen? My paint guy managed to make it dissappear when I repainted the car... Thanks a lot.

I was able to buy the corner clips from eurospares. I imagine you can get that one from them as well.

I didn’t know him before I gave him the car to paint it. I got a reccomendation and the bane of the company states he is a specialist, so I gave it a try. SHould not have done that...

Has he done a good job on the paint? Was it a fair price?

Well, he kind of did what I asked for. The reason is this: When I refurbish powerboats in America, we always sand down the clear coat after spraying. That way, the surface becomes perfectly flat and the end result after polishing is much better than just spraying and trying to get a perfect result. When doing it this way, it is not needed to get a good shine in the clear coat because you will sand it anyway... I wanted my painter to sand down and polish the car, but that was not how he was used to do a paintjob and did more bad things to the paint than good when he tried, so I said I will do it myself! So this is what I got, and they took the car down in pieces to get the job done properly. The case is that because I have had the car so much outside the country, I have not yet had the time and place to do that sand down and polishing job. So that is now actually my problem, but I will start doing it next week!! But the paint on the hood has cracked and looks like a guy took a big screwdriver and made a huge damage and some other places has the paint also cracked. The rest of the car does not have these cracks. So what we believe is that the material of the hood itself is the problem. It seems like the hood expands during extreme heat in stop and go traffic and direct sun light. I bet that hood is probably 150 Degernes Celcius When the coolant is 125 and the exhaust probably 3-400 deg..... and there is no place for the heat to escape upwards which is the natural havet of hest. However, the paint does not seem to retract like the hood probably do. To be honest, I have no idea what is going on with the paint. We had to repaint the hood two months after it was painted, but the problem became even worse the next time so as the car was down in France I just let it be like it was and enjoyed it. Additionally, I had to clean up the interior completely after the job. It was a big mess. And to me the car looks lighter with less purple in it. I don’t know.... because I have no other Pozzi color car to park it next to. I attach a few pictures.

    Erik,

My 550 is Blu Pozzi too. It seems it's always a different color each time I look at it. :)

    It turns purple at dusk...
