Hi all I'm potentially going to buy a used 348 TS and I want to know what I'm up for before committing. Been doing lots of reading on this chat site thanks to recommendations from "Nightlife" and its been a very smart move. I will do a PPI, but in my own review of the car, I noticed that the back window has some 'cloudy white' build up in the middle bottom of the window. Only a small amount. Unsure what it is (condensation)? Unsure if it will spread or what its a sign of ? I'm going to check for price estimate from Audi Bugatti in Montreal unless any of you have other recommendations on who produces the rear window for 348 TS. thanks C
The cloudiness is a lamination flaw between the two layers of glass. It isn't condensation. It's very common on 348's. The grid for the rear window defroster is imbedded inside the window, rather than on the surface of the glass. I don't think there is anything you can do to repair the flaw, and I don't think it will spread very far. Good luck with your purchase!
