I was thinking about installing a Hamann rear wing on my 430 Spider. I like the look of the car without it, but think it looks more complete with it. I had a Techart wing on my 911, and it made the car look fantastic, but do you think the wing on an Fcar looks out of place? I never saw one in person, so just would like to know your thoughts, especially if you have one or seen a car with it installed. On resale does it make any difference in value?

Make sure whatever mod you might do is reversible. You might like something that very few other people do, which will make your car harder to sell. If holes have to be drilled into the bodywork to mount that wing, you should plan on repairing the holes prior to selling the car. That being said, you might get lucky and find a buyer with similar tastes...but that doesn't always happen.

I wouldn't be a big fan of aftermarket wings on F Cars but I'm sure it's easily reversed so I say knock yourself out if it pleases you!

I think they look very after market - also bad for resale if that matters

Noooooo! Rear wings do not belong on Fcars. Leave them to the Lambo's!
    Just my $.02 :)

I was curious so I googled pics of F430s with the Hamann wing. It doesn't look as bad as I was expecting. That said, I wouldn't do this to my car and wouldn't buy a 430 that had the wing on it (does appear that holes must be drilled).

And honda civics if you're 16- lol

It's your car - but I think a wing on a 430 looks really cheesy and cheap.

I'd say leave it stock or put a scud nose on the front if guy really want a more aggressive but classy look

Ferrari goes to great lengths to develop aero dynamic properties and down force without the use of wings which they evidently frown upon for road cars. A functional rear wing would alter the car's balance at higher speeds most likely creating more understeer. Maybe it's just me but if I saw a 430 spider with a wing, the word "poseur" would come to mind.

I love a proper factory wing on a 911. An aftermarket wing on a Ferrari is just not a good look for me. I have never seen one that I liked.

if u really like it put it on, it's your car. You're not here to please everyone, just yourself and that's all that matters.

Personally, I hate the look. Haven't seen one that l liked.

Pretty much what I thought from a Ferrari community. Will stay away from the wing for now. If I see one in person, and like it then maybe, and its a big maybe.

Challenge cars look good with their rear wing. They need it aswell.
On a standard 430? No, it looks bad.

Late to the party, but: a wing on a Ferrari is not reversible. You will need to drill 4 holes to mount it, and the wing can and will eventually bend the metal where it mounts. Having owned a car that had a Hamann wing on it, I can definitely recommend that you NOT do it regardless of how it looks.

It's settled then, no wing. Not needed, less surface to wax, etc!
