+1, I'm very interested also in any feedback about backup cameras as I'm looking forward to installing this on my F430 (I don't want to damage my bright new CF grill :) )

I have a license plate frame backup camera connected to JVC KD-NXD505. Works great and no need to drill anything

Is your backup camera a 2.4GHz wireless camera? I read here that the JVC KD-AVX77 and Kenwood KVT 512 also have an input for a backup camera but would like to know more about which camera is used.

    Wow!

    That is very discreet indeed.
I only wonder if the heat from the back box will cause any damage???

That is just awful and huge. I think there is a reason it is shown on a Tractor!

I just cant see replacing my rear view mirror either. There has to be a more clever way, I think you are just the person to find that solution!

Well, how about something like a make up mirror on the backside of the sunvisor?
Flat thin screen that lights up when shifting to revers.

I once had a Kenwood with a screen coming out of a single din radio. Like the one we have in 360/430. It worked but took way too long time for the screen to come out light up.
The other problem I got in the 430 was that I couldnt tilt the screen to a proper level due to the round heater outlets. Took it out and sold it.

The dimensions of our interior rear mirror is 220/100/50 mm and for the smaller Rear camera mirror (4.3") is 270/78/27.

bro instead of buying a visor the option comes equipped in kenwood kvt 696 in dash entertainment system the issue is how to install the rearview camera. When you do install one wouldnt the wire going back through the engine bay burn due to the engine heat i dont wana blow up my ferrari

Have you already installed the KVT 696? And it is working? No issue with touching the ventilation outlets?

The kenwood screen is adjustable so it can slide out further and then tilt back to the perfect angle to see the camera....There are a couple of tricks to the install to make it just right.... As far as heat issues the only area is at the far back above the exhaust and we have special high temp (fiberglass tubing) that we use to protect the wiring harness....

I don´t know if it is able to do on a 360, but on the 430 you will have problem. Or I had at least.
If you look at my photo you can see the the air vent sticking out so far into the cupé that the piviot point for the screen will be located far outside the unit.

I know you can adjust the tilt of the screen, but you can just adjust it so the vent is touching the back of it.

I tried to solve it by bringing the unit further out from the dashboard - into the cupé. Think I needed 10 mm to have the screen vertical. I did that and also made a ABS frame to cover up these 10mm.
All my friends were laughing, because it looked like an amateur installation, so took it out and sold it.

Now, if you have a trick for this issue or there is a new Kenwood or you have any other clever idea - I would realy like to see a photo of it, since I failed to do a nice installation.

My unit was also too slow. First all this time waiting to have the screen to come out, warming up and at last show me what was behind that car.

Got sensors back on my 430 today and I think that will be enaugh so far.
