    I may be grasping at straws but does anyone know of someone who can fabricate a rearview mirror out of old (period) mirror glass?

    Try Scott at The Reflected Image 203-484-0760. I had him clean the glass and replace the mirror in my 250GTE mirror and it turned out great.

    Mirror resilvering is available at several places around the country. I paid $40 to have one done a year or so ago. Just do an internet search and you'll find lots of choices.

    Another choice is to just have a glass place fit a piece from new mirror stock. I did this on a 308 mirror (http://www.parrotbyte.com/kbc/ferrari/308/Mirror.htm), but on the PF coupe, the mirror was quite thin, so I had to have it resilvered.
