    In that case the damage is done and stripping them then rebuilding again serves no purpose if indeed they were power coated. No?

    Tend to agree with this but at least one purpose would be fulfilled and that's removing the paint!

    They were painted. My mechanic was upset as well. They’ve since been sent elsewhere to be completely stripped down and redone.
