My 246 is in the final stages of having the engine rebuilt. Delivered the car to the mechanic (on flatbed) and went over what is was going to cost to have it redone. Mechanic now wants to charge me for a tuneup on top of the repairs. Is there something wrong here? Your thoughts please- no mechanic names if anyone knows me-it could cause a problem.
    Thanks for your opinion...

If rebuild is contracted through the shop that pulls the engine and puts it back, they make it run right for the quoted price. If shop only rebuilds engine, pulled by someone else, putting it back in car and getting it running is a separate charge. Pretty standard way to go.
