Last week I received my stainless steel brake lines from Orme Borthers, www.ormebros.com. I worked with Johnny on these.

Just as a summary, there seem to be a number of places to get these brake lines, but most seem to be builders or resellers of the Goodridge product.

If you're interested, here's some good background reading.

There's been a lot of talk about lines from Demon Tweeks (www.demon-tweeks.com, 308 GTB/GTS p/n: GDRSFE0200-4P). However, there was one person--Jack B.--who said these rear lines were too long, though the problem may have been fixed. Demon Tweeks UK also said that these were for Euro spec cars, don't know if there are any differences.

Another person (Bob Briley) in the 2nd thread above didn't have a good experience with the 308 Goodridge kit...

In any case, attached is a picture of the lines I received from Johnny at Orme Brothers. Note that two of the lines are longer than the others (not sure which is which [front/rear] just yet).

They look nice Mike. How's the price (if you don't mind me asking...)?

No, it's no problem. They were around $130 to $140 after shipping, this was after some negotiation.

Demon Tweeks' lines are apparently less expensive, but represent more risk based on my research. Mike Charness got these very lines above from the same guys, the same contact, the same price, and is running them now... So there you have it :).

Thanks Mike. Sounds very reasonable to me...

    Mike,

The 2 short ones go in the rear. That looks like the US kit. I am not sure if Demon-Tweeks plans on upgrading their kits as they are for European spec cars. I don't think there is any difference and the kits are just wrong. That is why Goodridge US updated their rear lines in the # 27001 kit.

Jack, Thanks for the note. I wonder if Demon Tweeks is still selling the kits that haven't been updated?

These were assembled by Orme Bros. from spec sheets direct from Goodridge; I would assume he had the latest, as he's the US Goodridge builder/distributor...
