Had a dead battery, turned off the power knob under the front bonnet. Charged the battery, turned the knob back on and know I have power but the car won't start. When you attempt to lock and unlock the car with the fob to get it into the mode for the car to start, it won't go into start mode. Car won't turn over at all. Any suggestions or tricks! Thanks in advance!

No, when you hit the key fob it won't even lock and unlock the doors.

Actually mine has been fine up until this battery went dead. Here is what you need to do with yours though.....go under the front bonnet, take your inner panels off closest to the firewall. You will find the alarm siren right next to the brake fluid resevior on the driver's side. Completely unhook it, there is a good chance that it will crank everytime with no problems. Let me know how you make out.

Have you changed your key fob batt lately? OR could you start the car with your alarm code - not using the fob?

Got it figured out. I unhooked the siren under the front bonnet and it fired right up. The car is still currently cranking even without the siren hooked up. Going to buy a new one tomorrow. Not sure how that connects with the battery being dead but whatever.

Have you done a proper reset of the car?
(probably the car doesn't know anymore that it actually is a car....)

I actually tried that and it didn't work.. put a new siren and started OK... then sporadically even starter doesn't turn, not even a reassuring click.. I'll let you know what I find out..

Are you running a battery maintainer, tender, or conditioner?
